    Description

    Interesting Vintage WWI U.S. Navy Telescope or Periscope? measuring 24" long, fair condition, shows age patina, wear, use.  We can see through both lenses, but they do need a cleaning, one seemed focused,(top periscope one) the other was a bit blurry, not sure how to focus the end one or if this one is for light. Made of heavy metal and brass.  Center area of neck on steel marked, "UP" The brass rings are marked, 2438 and 2430. Brass also marked with patent date markings from 1901,1911 and 1916.  Near the bottom has a brass plaque with Bausch and Lomb Co markings NY with an Anchor and faded markings.   A very heavy well made piece weighing in at nearly 12 lbs.  See photos for further details, clarification, and condition.
