    Description

    Vintage Eagle Hose No. 2 Plaque Building Marker. It is made of a silvery Metal but it is not Cast Iron or Brass, It does not “pull” when you put a magnet on it. I gently drilled into the back. The metal looks like aluminum but it feels too heavy to be aluminum. After some research, I concluded that it is “White Brass”, a brass alloy, which is a hard, rust-resistant metal. Measures 8.5” X 11” 1/2”. In good physical condition; front shows weathering and could use a cleaning and a paint job. I estimated that it is from 1940 or earlier. The front is painted a gold color and the back is painted a silver color.
