This is an original antique Valentines Day card. It is NOT a reproduction. During the 1890-1920's elaborate Valentine's Day cards were all the rage. They were made with lace, honeycomb paper, scraps of die cut images such as flowers, animals, children, angels, women and hearts. Often they are layered and have paper springs between the layers to give them a popped out 3-D look.
Very elaborate Valentine's day card is from the 1900-1920s era. Front says "Nought would avail the rose, the sweetest flower of morn, If no fond heart were formed fair nature to adorn".
Pull the front part and it opens up into a dimensional display with 3 red honeycomb ball.
There are three sections. First section is of  an adorable cupid. She has cute short hair and she has a quiver with arrows and a bow. The second section has a white tent with two red hearts on it.  The Third section is a boy in a blue suit holding a hat. There seems to be some thing missing from his hand.  Back panel is made of card stock with a picture of many blue roses. On the top it says "To My Valentine".
Card is used. Has a lot of aging on front pull down.
    Measures about 8" W  x 11" H  x 4" D.
Guaranteed to be "old" and authentic. Not a recent reproduction.
