    This early vintage EASTERN WOODLANDS SWEET GRASS SEWING TRINKET BASKET measures approximately 12 1/2"w x 3 1/4"h x 4 1/2"d...perfect to tuck into any hand woven basket or sewing display!  This expertly crafted basket for sewing accessories, glove storage or other treasures is primarily a combination of thin & braided strands of sweet grass and narrow ash weavers woven around 1/2"w flat brown splint.  Upper edge of basket is framed in wood for stability and secured with 1/8"w brown splint.  Securely attached decorative braided handle on top.  This basket is fresh & clean and shows no stains, cracks or random holes.  Some expected age related wear as shown in photos, with repair and damage on decorative handle.  A FUN addition to any VINTAGE SEWING BASKET/SWEET GRASS/NATIVE AMERICAN collection!  Buyer pays shipping costs.  Please check my other auctions for MORE interesting items!
